| This
is the new location of the Schmudlach / Schmudlack Genealogy Resource
Centre.
At this time the centre is
open but under major construction while I rebuild pages. I have
uploaded the latest GEDCOM into the database.
**NOTE** There are several GEDCOMs loaded on this site (called Trees),
and there is some duplicate information in each. But if you are
interested in strictly SCHMUDLACH genealogy, the links for histories, photos,
etc. will appear in the SCHMUDLACH tree. The Schmudlach / Schmudlack Genealogy Resource Centre when up and running will include a database, records by country, researchers by country, message boards, and whatever else I can find relating to the surname and the variant spellings: Schmudlack. As for my Schmudlachs, well they immigrated from Gross-Lubs, Germany to Wisconsin. You can also find info on these message boards: Ancestry/Rootsweb Schmudlach board Genforum Schmudlach board at Genealogy.com Research Journal I'm working on a theory regarding my 3rd great-grandfather Johann Emanial Schmudlach's first marriage. I found on the LDS Family Search IGI for Germany the family of Johann Emial Schmudlach and Johanne Caroline Schulz. The six children were christened in Gross Lubs, Posen, Prussia. They are just the right age to be his first family. I wonder how Johann Christian Fredrich Schmudlach and Johann Emil Schmudlach are related. Emil is probably young enough to be Christian's son. My Emaniel was born 1806. Christian's first child was born in 1800.
